フォーカシング：身体は内側から語る その２０

それで、感情はいつもわれわれが学んだ物語の内側にあるのです。ご存知でしょう、文化的に、我々は物語から作られているのです。それが、我々がそれらを夜に夢見る理由なのです。ご存知でしょう。物語は、ただ語られているのではありません。物語はとても深く文化的に型にはまって[模られて]います。人間は単なる細胞ではなく、それらは動物であるだけでもなく、彼らは文化的な物語でもあるのです。

So emotions are always within the stories that we learn. Culturally, we're made out of stories. That's why we dream them at night, you know. Stories are not just told. Stories are very deeply culturally patterned. Human beings are not only cells, they're not only animals, they're also cultural stories.

それで、感情はいつもわれわれが学んだ物語の内側にあるのです。
1. So emotions are always within the stories that we learn.

ご存知でしょう、文化的に、我々は物語から作られているのです。
2. You know, culturally we're made out of the stories.

それが、我々がそれらを夜に夢に見る理由なのです。ご存知でしょう。
3. That's why we dream them at night, you know.

物語は、ただ語られているのではありません。
4. Stories are not just told.

物語はとても深く文化的に型にはまって[模られて]います。
5. Stories are very deeply culturally patterned.

人間は単なる細胞ではなく、それらは動物であるだけでもなく、彼らは文化的な物語でもあるのです。

6.Human beings are not only cells, they're not only animals, they're also cultural stories.

２１に入る。
1. But, there is now another level.
しかし、いま別の次元があります。

2. The other level is where focusing comes from.
そのほかの次元は、フォーカシングが生まれるところなのです。

19-20,21の少しは、昨日作った訳文。訳出しながら英文を覚えているが、暗誦の完成、辞書を多用した訳文の検証はまた別の次元の話。木田元先生の話を参考に、一週間かけて復習をして、新しいパラグラフを増やすごとに古いものを外していくのがいいかもしれない。

終わりが見えかけて急ぎすぎた。中断するペースである。
